Statement Sleeves

Ruffles and exaggerated sleeves have been everywhere throughout spring and summer. I’m all for over-sized items, but it took some time for me to warm up to ruffles. Too much of them can easily look a little frumpy and it seemed like a trend that would be over in a second.

It turned out that I just hadn’t found the right item. This shirt has the perfect amount of puff and the stripy fabric makes it look like a more feminine version of a classic cotton shirt. It also seems that we’ll see more statement sleeves in the fall season, so they are not just a thing of the moment.

Röyhelöt ja valtavat hihat ovat olleet kaikkialla tämän kevään ja kesän aikana. Tykkään kyllä ylisuurista vaatteista, mutta kesti jonkin aikaa lämmetä röyhelöille. Liikaa niitä näyttää usein vähän mummomaiselta ja se vaikutti trendiltä, joka menisi ohi saman tien.

Kävi ilmi, etten ollut vain löytänyt oikeaa vaatetta. Tässä paidassa on juuri sopiva määrä röyhelöä ja raidallinen kangas saa sen näyttämään vähän naisellisemmalta versiolta klassisesta kauluspaidasta. Näyttää myös siltä, että näemme lisää näyttäviä hihoja syksykaudella, joten ne eivät olekaan vain tämän hetken juttu.

Another big trend of the summer are off-the-shoulder tops, that expose the décolletage. I absolutely love this trend. The shirts don't show too much, but are still super feminine – just perfect for a date or just a night out. Right now, I'm enjoying the last days of my summer vacation so I’ve had a lot of wear out of this shirt. As usual, you can find the details of all the items below. Toinen iso trendi tänä kesänä ovat olleet off-the-shoulder paidat, jotka paljastavat dekolteen. Olen täysin ihastunut tähän trendiin. Paidat eivät paljasta liikaa, mutta ovat silti supernaisellisia - juuri täydellisiä treffeille tai vaikka iltamenoihin.
